What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.

Wegovy and the Potential for Hair Loss

Weight loss isn’t easy to achieve, and sometimes, you need help to lose weight. Some of the best help on the market right now is Wegovy, but sometimes, help comes with some drawbacks too. Wegovy can create a number of different symptoms, or even none, and one of those symptoms includes a small chance of hair loss. If your hair is important to you, you might hesitate to consider Wegovy, but you should figure out if the benefits outweigh the drawbacks.

The benefits don’t always outweigh the drawbacks when it comes to medication, but when it comes to Wegovy and hair loss, the benefits are very likely to outweigh the risks for you. We can help you figure out everything you should know about Wegovy and hair loss.

What Is Wegovyy?

If someone wants to lose a significant amount of weight, Wegovy is a medication that can bring them results. Wegovy is a weight loss medication that needs to be injected once a week. Like Ozempic, a popular weight loss drug, Wegvoy works to control certain body functions and brings about significant weight loss as a result. The active ingredient in Wegovy is called semaglutide. Semaglutide lowers blood sugar, blood pressure, and also decreases appetite. It is also prescribed solely for weight loss, unlike similar drugs which tend to be prescribed primarily to treat diabetes.

If you want to get Wegovy, you unfortunately can’t just walk into a store and buy it off the shelf. You will need to get a prescription and pick Wegovy up from the pharmacy. This is a prescription your doctor can take care of, as well as teach you how to use the medication in the first place. A Wegovy prescription can be earned if you fall into one of two categories, and is self-administered.It comes in a pack of pens and each pen is filled with a set amount that you use until it runs out. Wegovy gets injected under the skin, and it is best to switch up the injection site each day. The stomach is the most recommended injection spot, but the arms, and the upper thighs are also good options.

How Does Wegovy Work?

Wegovy is meant to take the place of a natural substance in the body that is no longer functioning the way it should. The substance is GLP-1, a glucagon-like peptide that is involved with the body’s regulation of blood sugar. Wegovy is a GLP-1 agonist medication, an imitation of the body’s natural GLP-1. It will send messages to the pancreas that will keep the body’s blood sugar levels in check, and that action will lead to a reduced appetite and increased feelings of fullness. And since you will feel full for a lot longer, you will be tempted to eat a lot less, leading to weight loss results you couldn’t as easily reach on your own.

Wegovy also works best when combined with an improved diet and exercise. It will significantly reduce your appetite, keeping you from wanting to eat as much in the first place, but maintaining a proper diet on Wegovy can still take some effort on your part. You will need to make sure that you are getting your calories through healthy foods, and make sure that you get enough of them. Wegovy could make you feel tempted to eat less than you need to sustain yourself, and you need to monitor your diet to prevent that.)

Wegovy is for anyone whose BMI is dangerously high and could use a fast paced remedy. If you have been struggling to lose weight for a long time, and have tried just about everything, it could be time that you consider using Wegovy. Wegovy is for those who have tried diet after diet without significant results. Or for people who have managed to lose weight before but can’t seem to keep it off for whatever reason. If weight loss is a struggle, and you can see yourself heading towards a dangerous weight, Wegovy could be right for you.

Many people want to lose weight, but being slightly overweight isn’t enough to get you a Wegovy prescription. Wegovy can only be prescribed if you have a BMI of 30 and up, or you need to have a BMI of 27 and up, plus a weight related illness. It is also prescribed to both adults and children over 12 years of age. So what weight related illnesses do you need to have to be prescribed Wegovy? Illnesses like heart disease, stroke, hypertension, or sleep apnea can get you a prescription. You can also get Wegovy if you can prove that a different illness you have is weight related.

Who Isn’t Wegovy for?

While Wegovy is a great option for some people, it happens to be an awful one for others. Some people are better off avoiding Wegovy entirely, and if you aren’t sure if you are one of those people, you can check with your doctor to be really sure. There are a few conditions that will disqualify you from a diagnosis, and those conditions are medullary thyroid carcinoma, Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia Syndrome type II, and pregnancy. Wegovy can cause bad reactions when used by someone with any of these conditions.

Having those conditions can be a problem, but it is also an issue if you have a family history of certain conditions. If you have a family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia Syndrome type II, you are more prone to suffering negative effects from using Wegovy. And if you are allergic to any of the ingredients on the list, you should also avoid taking it. Other factors that will cause a need to avoid this medication is breastfeeding or kidney or pancreas related issues. You can also be impacted if you have a history of type II diabetes or if you struggle with depression or suicidal thoughts.

Wegovy’s Main Side Effects

Wegovy can cause multiple side effects, and some of the most prominent ones are the ones that affect the gut. Some of these issues are nausea, constipation, diarrhea, and vomiting. These symptoms can be more mild or they can be more severe. Their duration is also different for each person depending on your body chemistry. Nearly half of the people who take Wegovy experience abdominal symptoms, but for some, it goes away more quickly than others.

Wegovy can also cause low blood sugar. If you didn’t need to monitor your blood sugar before, you might have to pay a bit of attention when taking Wegovy. If you have high blood sugar, it will keep you on track and healthy, but without that issue your blood sugar has the potential to become dangerously low. The symptoms of low blood pressure include drowsiness, sweating, dizziness, and rapid heart beat, and you can reverse them by eating enough to raise your blood sugar levels.

There is a rare chance that you could experience complications with your pancreas when you use Wegovy. This includes pancreatitis, a dangerous disease that can cause a painful swelling of the pancreas. The stomach pain you experience will radiate from your stomach to your back, and other side effects include nausea and vomiting. Pancreatitis can be deadly and require emergency surgery, so if you experience any of the side effects, you need to stop taking Wegovy and get checked out immediately.

Does Wegovy Cause Hair Loss?

This can feel like a big loss, but definitely isn’t as bad as it looks. Image courtesy of Avail Hospital

The side effects above are the ones that have been reported the most, but can Wegovy also cause hair loss? Wegovy, for the most part, doesn’t cause hair loss, but it can for a small percentage of people. Statistically, most people who take Wegovy will not suffer this symptom, but it is likely that about 3 percent will. And this happens because hair loss can be a symptom of rapid weight loss.

Rapid weight loss can result in a number of symptoms because it puts stress on the body. Your hair can shed when your body is undergoing stress, but it isn’t something that will go on. Your hair will stop shedding eventually, but can endure a rough period for a bit. And that happens because stress on the body can send a large number of hair follicles into the resting phase, which is a stage where there is more hair that falls out than grows in. This will mostly lead to hair thinning since this won’t happen to all the hair follicles, and after a few months of this, your hair will eventually revert back to a normal growth phase. So all you really need to do about this symptom is wait it out. It will stop eventually.

This hair loss symptom can last for several weeks or for several months, though the impact may not be as bad as you expect. If you plan to take Wegovy long term, it isn’t likely that you will be losing hair through the duration of your treatment. This process will be temporary, and your hair will easily grow back once it is over. But in the meantime, you might need to figure out what to do with your thinning hair.

What Should You Do About Hair Loss?

You won’t need any medication to fix the hair loss that can be caused by Wegovy, but you could potentially use some methods to make your hair look normal. Having thin hair can feel uncomfortable if you aren’t used to it, so until your hair grows back in, you can cover it up.

One way you can cover up thinning hair is with hair pieces. This can include hair extensions, wigs, and toupees. These hair pieces can cover up the thin parts of your hair, and won’t be too obvious as long as you make sure they match your hair. Pick out hair pieces that are about the same color and length of your own, and your hair can look just as full as before.

Another option for covering up thinning hair is wearing hats. Hats can cover up some of the worst of hairstyles and the thinnest of hair. If you aren’t a fan of adding hair for the appearance of fullness, a hat can simply cover it up. Large headbands can even have a similar effect by covering up some of the thin parts of your hair.

Wegovy will give you amazing weight loss results, and in rare instances, it can cause some hair loss. This symptom can be a hassle to deal with, but can also be one of the easiest. There are tradeoffs you have to make when choosing to take a new medication, and if a primary concern is your hair, Wegovy can impact it, but not enough to lead to any long term effects.
